Ceyda Ateş — Biography

Ceyda Ateş Toplusoy was born on 14 October 1988; sources give her birthplace as either Ankara or Istanbul, though her family originally comes from Ordu. After winning a children's beauty contest organized by Neşe Erberk at age five, she began appearing in television series as a child, trained in acting at the Barış Manço Cultural Centre, and later hosted the show Dizi Magazin on Cine5.

She became known for playing Leyla in the Dawson's Creek adaptation Kavak Yelleri and for Elveda Rumeli, then reached a wider audience as Hande in Adını Feriha Koydum. She went on to appear in series such as Evlerden Biri, Yılanların Öcü, Çırağan Baskını and Çocuk (2019), and in the films Çılgın Dersane Kampta (2008) and Gulyabani (2014). She later said she underwent three operations after an accident on a film set.

She married Buğra Toplusoy, moved to the United States for a period, and had a daughter, Talia; she returned to Turkish television around 2025. After the films Sevmedim Deme (2022), Düşeş 1 - Mafya Sızıntısı (2023) and Son Dilek (2023), she joined Burak Özçivit in Go Türkiye's mini-series Aşk Tadında in 2026.
