Can Bazaar (Can Pazarı) (translated)
Can Pazarı is a 1976 Turkish-Iranian co-production blending adventure and drama. Murat is a masseur beloved by his clients, whose greatest wish in life is to make his daughter Ebru happy. One day he is assigned to provide physical therapy for Abbas Bey, one of the leading figures of the underworld. Through this job he meets Abbas's daughter Selma, and although the two clash at first, they gradually fall in love.
However, the ruthless power struggle between Abbas and his rival Kamil drags Murat and those around him into irreversible events. Written by Erdoğan Tünaş and jointly directed by Orhan Elmas and Ertem Göreç, the film stars Kadir İnanır and Iranian actress Pouri Banayi, supported by well-known performers of the era such as Erol Taş, Turgut Özatay and Ali Sururi. The film also features music by Barış Manço and Erol Evgin.
