Offside

Offside (original German title Eine andere Liga) is a 2005 German tragicomedy directed by Buket Alakuş, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jan Berger. The film follows a young woman whose life is thrown off course by a serious illness and who fights her way back through playing football. Karoline Herfurth and Ken Duken star in leading roles. Produced by the Hamburg-based Wüste Film on behalf of ZDF's Das kleine Fernsehspiel in cooperation with Arte, the film was released in German cinemas on 26 January 2006.
