The Deaf Room (Sağır Oda) (translated)

TV Series · 2006 · 7 people

Sağır Oda is a Turkish television series produced by Tims&B Productions that blends intelligence, action, and political thriller elements. Directed by Serdar Akar, with Soner Yalçın serving as concept consultant, the series premiered on Kanal D on September 18, 2006, and concluded with its 34th episode, which aired on June 21, 2007.

The story is rooted in World War II, when the Nazis melted down gold taken from Jews in concentration camps and turned it into ingots. Realizing they would lose the war, they entrusted this gold to people they trusted — and the fact that one of those trustees was Turkish brings the question of whether the gold lies in Türkiye to the forefront, unfolding around the Crimean family. The cast includes Orhan Kılıç, Mahir Günşıray, Emel Çölgeçen, Hakan Karahan, Nil Günal, Selin Şekerci, and Zeynep Kumral.
