The Book of Travels (Seyahatname) (translated)

Seyahatname (The Book of Travels) is a Turkish comedy series broadcast on TRT in 1977. Directed by Atıf Yılmaz, the series was co-written by Yılmaz and Aziz Nesin, a master of satirical literature. This collaboration combined a cinematic visual approach with Nesin's distinctive satirical humor.

Produced during Turkey's single-channel television era, the series featured many of the period's best-known performers. Alongside Sadri Alışık, Canan Gerede, Ayşen Gruda, Şevket Altuğ and Zihni Göktay, Erdal Özyağcılar appeared as the narrator guiding the audience through the story. With its strong writing team and accomplished ensemble cast, Seyahatname is remembered as one of TRT's notable attempts at a domestic comedy series in the late 1970s.
