Last (Son) (translated)

Son is a Turkish psychological thriller series produced by Ay Yapım and broadcast on ATV in 2012. Produced by Kerem Çatay, written by Berkun Oya and directed by Uluç Bayraktar, the filmmaker behind Ezel, the series was built on a fully original screenplay. Planned as exactly 25 episodes, it ran in a single season from 9 January to 25 June 2012, unfolding a span of roughly thirty years through an unusual structure that moves backward from the ending toward the beginning.

The story follows Aylin, a devoted wife who refuses to believe her husband died in a plane crash and sets out to find him, only to discover that her marriage and life were constructed on lies. Starring Engin Altan Düzyatan, Nehir Erdoğan, Erkan Can, Berrak Tüzünataç and Yiğit Özşener, the series features music by Toygar Işıklı. Internationally, it was sold to 20th Century Fox Television and adapted into an ABC pilot titled Runner, remade in the Netherlands as Flight HS13 in 2018, with remake rights also sold in Russia, Spain and France.
