Vahide Perçin — Biography

Vahide Perçin is a Turkish theatre, film and television actress born in Izmir on June 13, 1965. After graduating at the top of her class from the Theatre Department of Dokuz Eylül University's Faculty of Fine Arts, she began acting on the stages of Ankara Sanat Tiyatrosu and the State Theatres, making her screen breakthrough in 2003 as Suzan Kozan in the series Bir İstanbul Masalı.

She became known nationwide with roles in Hırsız Polis (2005), Annem (2007), Adını Feriha Koydum (2011) and as Hürrem Sultan in Muhteşem Yüzyıl (2013), and was named Best Actress at the Altın Koza festival for her performance in the film İlk Aşk (2006). She appeared in the films Devrim Arabaları (2008), Ayhan Hanım (2014) and Kapı (2019), and in recent years has been on screen in Anne (2016), Bir Zamanlar Çukurova (2018), Aldatmak (2022) and Şakir Paşa Ailesi: Mucizeler ve Skandallar (2024). An acting teacher at the school she co-founded, she served as president of the Turkish actors' union Oyuncular Sendikası between 2021 and 2024.
