Dolunay Soysert — Biography
Dolunay Soysert, born on March 25, 1973 in Adana, is a Turkish theater, film and television actress. She studied acting at the Müjdat Gezen Art Center, began her on-screen career in 1995 with Sekizinci Saat, and became widely known for her role as Latife Hanım in the 1998 film Cumhuriyet.
She performed at the Istanbul City Theatres, Dostlar Theatre, Craft and Toy Theatre; she was among the founders of the Istanbul Folk Theatre and was named Most Successful Actress of the Year at the 9th Afife Theatre Awards.
On television she took leading roles in series such as Omuz Omuza, Bebeğim, Benim Annem Bir Melek (2008), Başrolde Aşk and Kayıp (2013). In cinema she portrayed Piraye in Mavi Gözlü Dev (2007), Zübeyde Hanım in Veda (2010) and Halide Edib in Ya İstiklal Ya Ölüm (2020).
In recent years she appeared on screen as Sumru in Elimi Bırakma (2018), Derya in Tozluyaka (2022) and Neslihan in Yabani (2023). The actress is married to fellow actor Sinan Tuzcu.
