Sinan Tuzcu — Biography

Sinan Tuzcu was born on 10 July 1977 in Gaziantep. After completing an associate degree in tourism and hotel management at Bilkent University, he graduated in 2004 from the Theatre Department of the State Conservatory at Mimar Sinan University and worked with the Arcola Theatre in London. His breakthrough in Turkey came in 2005 with the character of Ömer in the series Ihlamurlar Altında, a role that also made him known abroad thanks to the show's Arabic-dubbed version.

Tuzcu married actress Dolunay Soysert, whom he met co-starring in an operetta, in 2006, divorced her in 2016, and married actress Beyza Kapu in 2021; alongside acting he has written a stage play and the scripts for the series Kehribar, Emanet and Urfalıyam Ezelden, and appeared in the English-language productions The Net 2.0 and Jack Hunter and the Quest for Akhenaten's Tomb.

He appeared in Mavi Gözlü Dev, Adanalı, Orada, Nefes: Vatan Sağolsun and Aşk ve Ceza, and portrayed the young Atatürk in the 2010 film Veda; he played the Byzantine emperor Constantine X Doukas in Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu and Mustafa Kaleli in Sen Anlat Karadeniz.

After Mor Menekşeler, Görüş Günü Kadınları, Kaderimin Yazıldığı Gün, Babam ve Ailesi, 7 Yüz and Bir Başkadır, followed by Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu, Son Yaz and Sipahi, he began playing the character Sinan in the series A.B.İ. in 2026.
