Under the Linden Trees (Ihlamurlar Altında)

Ihlamurlar Altında (Under the Linden Trees) is a Turkish drama series produced by Avşar Film and directed by Aydın Bulut. It premiered on Kanal D in 2005, ran for two seasons, and concluded in 2007 with its 80th episode. The screenplay was written by Nilgün Öneş, Neslihan Eyüboğlu and Ayşe Teker, while the opening theme belongs to İntizar.

The story centers on Yılmaz and Elif, who grew up in the same neighborhood and fell in love. Although everyone expects them to marry, fate pulls them apart: Ömer, heir to the wealthy Tekiner Holding, falls for Elif and marries her. Unable to accept this, Yılmaz draws closer to Filiz, the daughter of the Tekiner family, and a deep love gradually develops between them. Beyond its romantic and melancholic tone, the series also weaves in adventure and drama.

Led by Bülent İnal and Tuba Büyüküstün, the ensemble includes Nur Sürer, Fırat Tanış, Ayberk Pekcan, Sinan Tuzcu, Özge Borak and İrem Altuğ. Ranking among Turkey's most-watched series during its run, it was also dubbed into Syrian Arabic and broadcast by MBC, gaining wide popularity across the Arab world.
