Hüseyin Soysalan — Biography

Hüseyin Soysalan, born on April 12, 1959 in Ankara, is a Turkish theatre, film and television actor. He trained at the Ankara State Theatre Conservatory and, after many years on the state theatre stage, moved to television in 2000 with the series Bizim Evin Halleri. In the following years he appeared in series such as Beşinci Boyut (2005), Doludizgin Yıllar (2009), Sakarya Fırat (2010) and Es Es (2010), and raised his profile with some of the most watched productions of the period, including Ezel (2010), Dila Hanım (2012) and Karadayı (2014).

Wider audiences know him above all as Baba Gülmez in ATV's long-running series Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz (2015). Since 2025 he has portrayed Nusret Ağa in the series Eşref Rüya, and in the summer of 2026 he made entertainment headlines with a new prosthetic-hair look he adopted for the role.
