Hüseyin Soysalan — Biography

Hüseyin Soysalan was born on April 12, 1959, in Ankara; his Wikipedia entry also records the date as March 12, 1959. After finishing Bahçelievler Deneme Lisesi, he entered the Ankara State Theatre Conservatory and graduated from its theatre department in 1984. He began his career on the state stage, spending two years training at the Adana State Theatre before performing with the Ankara State Theatre company until 2008. Alongside his stage work, he moved into television in 2000 with the series Bizim Evin Halleri, and appeared in productions such as Keloğlan Masalları (2001), Beşinci Boyut (2005), Gönül Yokuşu (2006) and Kader (2007).

Through the 2010s he raised his profile in widely watched series such as Ezel, Sakarya Fırat, Dila Hanım (2012) and Karadayı (2014). He played a member of the Gülmez family in ATV's long-running series Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz. He went on to appear in Çukur (2017), Cesur Yürek (2017), Kuzey Yıldızı İlk Aşk (2019-2021) and Gönül Dağı (2024-2025). Since 2025 he has played Nusret Ağa in the series Eşref Rüya, and in the summer of 2026 he drew attention for a prosthetic-hair look he adopted for the role.
