Vildan Atasever — Biography

Vildan Atasever was born on 26 July 1981 in Bursa, the daughter of an Erzurum-rooted family with five children; her father's job took the family to Diyarbakır for a time before she finished primary and secondary school in Istanbul. She began amateur theatre at fifteen, worked as a radio DJ and TV VJ after high school, and turned to acting after meeting theatre performer Çetin Etili. She reached the screen in 2003-2004 with Kurtlar Vadisi and played Hülya Avşar's daughter in Kadın İsterse. Her role as Handan in İki Genç Kız brought her the 2005 Golden Orange award, and her performance in Kader won her best actress at the Ankara International Film Festival in 2006. After Yaralı Yürek, Bıçak Sırtı and Gece Sesleri, she co-starred with Ata Demirer in Osmanlı Cumhuriyeti (2008), which drew 1.4 million viewers, and went on to appear in Samanyolu, Başrolde Aşk, Osmanlı Tokadı and Yaz'ın Öyküsü. She played Seyran in Klavye Delikanlıları and Hümaşah Sultan in Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem, continuing her career with Tek Yürek, Kasaba Doktoru, Malazgirt 1071 and Bir Dilek Tut. She married journalist Taylan Kılınç at twenty and divorced him in 2007, then married actor İsmail Hacıoğlu in 2010 and divorced in 2015; she married musician Mehmet Erdem in 2021, and the couple had a son in January 2026.
