Hürmüz with Seven Husbands (7 Kocalı Hürmüz) (translated)

7 Kocalı Hürmüz is a 2009 Turkish comedy film directed by Ezel Akay and adapted from Sadık Şendil's celebrated stage play of the same name, with a screenplay by Gürsel Korat. Set in late 19th-century Ottoman Istanbul, in the Taşkasap neighborhood, the film carries Akay's signature fairy-tale style, enriched with musical touches.

The story centers on Hürmüz, a woman living with six husbands of different professions without any legal marriage. She entertains each husband on a different day of the week and supports herself with the gifts they bring, until she falls in love with a doctor she spots at her barber husband's shop. Faking an illness to lure the doctor to her home sets off a series of chaotic and comic complications involving all her husbands. Nurgül Yeşilçay leads the cast, joined by Gülse Birsel, Haluk Bilginer, Sarp Apak and Öner Erkan; the film premiered in Türkiye on November 20, 2009.
