Shattered Soul (Beyza'nın Kadınları)
Beyza'nın Kadınları, released internationally as Shattered Soul, is a Turkish crime-thriller directed by Mustafa Altıoklar, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ebru Hacıoğlu and Nükhet Bıçakçı. Premiering on 17 March 2006 and running about 137 minutes, the film was produced by Altıoklar Film Prodüksiyon, Key Production and Hermes Film, and has been noted as one of Turkish cinema's early attempts at the serial-killer thriller genre.
When severed legs begin turning up across Istanbul and panic grips the city, the investigation falls to a police commissioner and Doruk Türker, a psychiatrist trained in the United States as a serial-homicide expert. As the case deepens, Doruk's wife Beyza struggles with unexplained blackouts and sets out to trace her lost hours, gradually sensing a strange connection between herself and the murder victims. Demet Evgar, Tamer Karadağlı and Levent Üzümcü lead the cast, alongside Arda Kural, Berrak Tüzünataç and Engin Altan Düzyatan.
