Reyhan (Dağlar Kızı Reyhan)

Dağlar Kızı Reyhan is a 1969 Turkish drama and romance film directed by Metin Erksan and written by Bülent Oran and Muzaffer Arslan, who also served as producer. The film stars Filiz Akın and Kartal Tibet.

The story follows Reyhan, a clerk at a record shop, and her fiancé Mehmet, a minibus driver who is preparing to leave for Germany. Their lives are upended when nightclub king Ekrem Bey, impressed by Reyhan's voice, schemes to make her a singing star and has Mehmet framed with heroin, sending him to prison. Years later Mehmet returns, enriched through gambling, and enters Ekrem's world with a plan for revenge, only to cross paths once more with his former love.
