On the Path

On the Path (Bosnian: Na putu) is a 2010 Bosnian drama film written and directed by Jasmila Žbanić. A co-production between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Austria and Germany, it competed for the Golden Bear at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival and won the FIPRESCI Prize at the 7th Yerevan Golden Apricot International Film Festival. Zrinka Cvitešić also received the Golden Arena for Best Actress at the Pula Film Festival for her performance as Luna.

Running roughly one hundred minutes, the film follows Luna and Amar, a young couple in Sarajevo marked by the trauma of the Bosnian War. When Amar loses his job and joins a conservative religious community, their life together is profoundly shaken, forcing Luna to question the relationship. Zrinka Cvitešić and Leon Lučev lead the cast, which also features Mirjana Karanović, Ermin Bravo, Izudin Bajrović and Jasna Beri.
