The Exam (Sınav)

Sınav (The Exam) is a 2006 Turkish comedy-drama film directed by Ömer Faruk Sorak and written by Yiğit Güralp. Produced by Böcek Yapım, it was shot at Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Anatolian Maritime Vocational High School in Beykoz, Istanbul, and went on general release across Turkey on 20 October 2006.

The story follows five high school students — Gamze, Uluç, Kaan, Mert and Sinan — who search for a way out while preparing for the university entrance exam, fearing they will disappoint their families. Realizing they cannot raise their grades honestly, they first steal questions from school exams and then enlist a professional thief named Charles, played by Jean-Claude Van Damme, to obtain the university exam papers. The cast includes İsmail Hacıoğlu, Tuba Büyüküstün, Güven Kıraç, Altan Erkekli, Zafer Algöz, Ayda Aksel and Hümeyra. The film runs 124 minutes.
