The Mystery of Beyoğlu (Beyoğlu Esrarı) (translated)

Beyoğlu Esrarı is a 1966 black-and-white Turkish film produced and directed by Türker İnanoğlu from a screenplay by Bülent Oran, with cinematography by Çetin Gürtop under the Erler Film banner. The adventure drama is a nearly scene-for-scene Yeşilçam remake of Phil Karlson's 99 River Street (1953).

The story follows Osman, an İstanbul taxi driver who finds the body of Jale, a striptease dancer and regular customer, in the back seat of his cab. Framed for the murder, he must dodge the police while hunting down Rıfat, the real culprit behind a jewelry store robbery, aided by Selma, a gas station attendant, and his fellow cabbies. The cast includes İzzet Günay, Öztürk Serengil, Necdet Tosun, Nubar Terziyan and Selma Güneri.
