Clash of Civilization Over an Elevator in Piazza Vittorio (original title: Scontro di civiltà per un ascensore a Piazza Vittorio) is a 2010 Italian comedy directed by Isotta Toso, who co-wrote the screenplay with Maura Vespini. The story unfolds in an old apartment building on Piazza Vittorio, a multicultural square in the heart of Rome, where residents of different origins, languages and religions live side by side, their daily encounters breeding misunderstandings and prejudice as well as solidarity and affection.

When the young bully Lorenzo is found dead in the building's elevator, every tenant testifies as a witness in the ensuing investigation, a process that gives this colorful community a new sense of belonging. The cast includes Roberto Citran, Francesco Pannofino, Kasia Smutniak, Daniele Liotti, Milena Vukotic and Turkish actress Serra Yılmaz.
